Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the CNA program?▾
Day classes are 4 weeks (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM). Evening classes are 6 weeks (Mon–Fri, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM). Both tracks are 120 total hours of classroom instruction and clinical training.
What are the requirements to enroll?▾
You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Social Security card. No prior healthcare experience is required — we train you from the ground up.
Do I need healthcare experience?▾
No. Our program is designed for beginners. We provide all the training you need to pass the state certification exam and begin working as a CNA.
Is financial aid available?▾
Career Academy does not participate in FAFSA, Pell Grants, or federal student loan programs. However, we accept sponsor payments from workforce development programs and offer a manageable 3-installment payment plan with no payment due before your first class.
What happens after I complete the program?▾
Students who score 85% or higher qualify to take the Tennessee state CNA certification exam. Career Academy assists with state board registration. Once certified, you can work in hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, and other healthcare settings.
When is my first payment due?▾
No payment is required before your first day of class. The default plan is 3 installments of $450, due on weeks 1, 2, and 3 of your cohort start date.
Do I need to buy anything for the program?▾
Career Academy provides all books and training materials at no extra cost. You will need to purchase your own scrubs before class begins — most students spend $10–$25. A 3% processing fee applies to card payments; cash and check payments have no additional fee.
